Guide
What to Do After a Rideshare Accident
If you drive for a rideshare platform such as Uber, DiDi or Ola, an accident can quickly affect your income. This guide covers the practical steps to take after a rideshare accident so you can protect yourself and get support.
1. Check everyone is safe
Look after your passengers and anyone else involved first. Call 000 if anyone is injured. Move to a safe place if you can and put your hazard lights on.
2. Note your trip details
If you were on a trip, note the details from your platform app — the trip time and any reference. This can be useful later when working through the process.
3. Exchange details and take photos
- Names, phone numbers, licences and registrations
- Photos of the damage and the wider scene
- The date, time and location
- Any witnesses and their contact details
4. Get support
Once you are safe, contact Prime Commercial Club. We support rideshare drivers with guidance after an accident and coordinate repairs and claims support, whichever platform you drive with.
